Dear friends,

Thank you for your support in the year 2011 and we wish you a   wonderful 2012 with a lot of love and happiness.

Mógil had a good year, we released our CD Í stillunni hljómar in the spring and we went on a big CD release tour in Belgium, Holland and Iceland.

We also had great fun playing at Iceland Airwaves in Oktober

On a sunny summer day in Iceland, Mógil gathered in a beautiful studio by the sea surrounded by seals, whales and seagulls they recorded their CD Í stillunni hljómar (In the Stillness it sounds). Í stillunni hljómar is going to be released 4. march 2011.

Belgium, Holland and WOMEX

 

We’ve had a great tour in Belgium and Holland,  played in fantastic venues and had great audiences.

Tonight at midnight we are playing at WOMEX in Copenhagen.  We have had a fun sound check and now we are waiting for our performance.  Heiða is on the computer, Joachim bikes, Ananta plays trumpet and Hilmar teaches….

Mógil

Mógil is an Icelandic/Belgian band and the members of Mógil are Heiða Árnadóttir vocals, Hilmar Jensson guitar,  Joachim Badenhorst clarinet/saxophone and Ananta Roosens  violin.

Mógil has been playing together for 4 years and touring widely all over Iceland and Europe. In the fall of 2008 they released their debut CD called Ró on the Antwerp based label Radical Duke.  It was released  in Iceland and the Benelux countries.
